“ Great comfort food . Definitely a congee place but nice wontons too . Reminds me of Hong Kong ”
“ TLDR: My go to spot for congee and noodles. It's affordable, good, and it reminds me of a restaurant that I used to enjoy very much. Lo mein: You could pick 2-3 items that you want with your lo mein. I chose Beef Stew and Wonton because that's what they specialize in, and the fish tofu (fish cake) is something that I just haven't had in a while. I love their portions. Whatever main you get here will ensure that you will leave the restaurant full. The egg noodle of the lo mein was cooked well, and the flavors of your toppings take center stage. The beef stew is soft, beefy, and contributes to most of what you'll taste. The wontons are huge and you can see that they're made on site, the fish tofu is basically a fish cake that is mostly MSG, but it's fine. The soup on the side is a way to keep the relatively dry entree lubricated. Noodle Soup: You take the same advantages of the lo mein but just add more soup. It's really a question of how much soup do you want to have in your meal. Either way, it works. Dumplings: It's the weakest part of the meal, yet it still holds its own. I would recommend skipping this and ordering more wontons, but the dumplings do give off a gyoza feel and a different taste profile. Seafood congee: It's either the best congee that I've had in SoCal or the 2nd best. It's served hot, and the thickness of the congee keeps it hot for extended periods of time. The squid, fish, and shrimp inside the congee are all cooked well, and none of them turned rubbery even after an extended period of time in the hot congee. Flavor wise, it's not too strong meaning they used minimal to no MSG and it makes this a perfect dish for a cold day or when you're sick. Service: The staff kept an eye on our water cups, so we were always topped up. Otherwise, it's your classic Asian restaurant staff etiquette. Minimal interactions and pleasantries. All business. Orders, water refills, and payment. No issues with that. Ambiance: I'm a sucker for hole in a wall establishments that just do what they do. This place is no different. Ignore the restroom, ignore the floors, and ignore the kitchen. Just focus on the food and have a great meal. ”
“ Still great wontons and now their liver is good too in the wonton soups. Still great family-owned place. Delicious with two thumbs up. ”
“ Great Chinese food...ok price You can't go wrong if authentic comfort food is your desired The Real deal ”

“ We were craving wonton soup and found this spot on Yelp. There's ample parking in the lot and it's a small shop but they get the dishes out quickly. We ordered the shrimp & pork wonton noodle soup. The wontons were massive! And cooked well where they were plump. The noodles were also very springy. We were big fans of this. My dad even asked to come back twice during his visit here. The wonton noodle is such a comforting dish for the colder days. I saw someone get a 'dry' version with wontons, noodles, and soup were separate which looks bomb. They also have a 'you choose' option noodle soup with different beef varieties to choose from. The beef was tender and definitely worth getting as well. We also tried the pork and preserved egg congee which was decent. It wasn't as seasoned as I would like and think more addition of ginger would elevate it. Come for the wontons! ”
“ My go to place for congee and their wonton is huge! Soul food for me. I always order the wonton soup (no noodles) which comes with 6 huge wonton and veggies underneath. Small place so be prepared to wait before getting seated. This restaurant also charge $0.25 for each to go box you need. ”
“ Tried this place multiple times, always good. This time I am stopped by and tried the fish balls and beef balls with soup. I was pleasantly surprised it came with veggies!!! So so good!!! ”
“ Best wonton and really good congee! Their wontons are huge and are perfectly textured with full pieces of shrimp - by far the best wonton I've gotten at a restaurant. We always get the wonton in soup or sometimes with egg noodles and the preserved egg with pork congee. Service is super friendly and quick, small cozy restaurant. Ample parking in a shared lot, situated a couple doors down from kang kang. ”
“ The wonton pieces are enormous. If you get wonton noodle soup, it comes with 4. Wonton by itself has 6 pieces. I liked adding the chilling oil to make the wonton taste even better. We also got the congee with thousand years old egg and pork. It was very flavorful and not salty. Added the usual pepper to give it more of a baby kick. I think other people might add soy sauce for more flavor. Would come back here for congee. I read the they charged 0.25 for each to go container ”
